Overflowing Grace

November 8—Overflowing Grace Having been loved/graced, we love/grace! 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 This has become a popular Scripture for weddings. Interestingly, this isn’t a marriage-specific passage, at all. Instead, it is in the context of spiritual gifts. It is in the heart of a section describing how we use what God has given us to bless others. And at the “heart of it all” is our motivation to love others out of the overflow of God’s love for us. This passage describes clearly the grace we are to extend to others (patient, kind, rejoicing, bearing, believing, hoping, enduring). Having experienced the ultimate experience of love/grace, we have the ability and responsibility to love/grace others! Just how different would people’s experience of us be if we were to choose to love them like this???
