I was born in Evansville, Indiana and lived there until my family moved to DuQuoin, Illinois in 1980. I went on to graduate from DuQuoin High School in 1990 and later received a business degree from Southeastern Illinois College.

Any place where I don’t have to do anything…no cooking, no cleaning. I would love to visit the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

I worked from home for 15 years as a medical transcriptionist for Northwestern University in Chicago.
ONE THING THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME:
I became a widow at the age of 34. In college, I won a state competition for transcription and then had the privilege of traveling to Anaheim, California for the national competition. My transcription machine stopped working in the middle of the competition and I still received 3rd place!
FAVORITE TV SHOW:
The Middle. Friends.
WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU GET SAVED:
I was 8 years old and still living in Evansville. I remember telling my dad and then our pastor from First Baptist came over to pray with me and I was baptized soon thereafter.
WHAT SPORTS ARE YOU NOT GOOD AT:
I like to think I’m good at everything…at least in my head I am awesome! I would think, if I were to ever attempt it I would most likely be a terrible football player.
FAVORITE SINGER OR BAND:
Sidewalk Prophets. Crowder. Elevation Worship. Justin Timberlake. Taylor Swift. Pink.
Poor grammar! People that are super happy in the morning and feel like everyone else should be happy too. It’s just not going to happen…I’ve tried.
Raising children. (Not really a moment but definitely a life changer!) When my first husband was injured and I was forced to then find my voice and become head of the household.
I am super awesome at coloring!
Drowning. Falling from a great height.
PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE ME:
My dad. He set such a wonderful example of what a great husband, father, and grandfather should be. My husband: He works tirelessly and everything he does is the best it can be.
IN MY SPARE TIME:
I spend time either running my daughter to and from dance practice or hanging out with my family at home. From April through October I spend most weekends watching my husband and his drag racing group at various race tracks in the Southern states.
